August 26th, 2009 admin No comments

acnecong01Guys can sometimes get the worst types of acne. That might be a relief for women but it’s bad for the guys who have to deal with things like Acne Conglobata and Acne Fulminans. Different Levels of Acne Severity

August 24th, 2009 admin No comments

r7_cysticacneWhen I was growing up, I never really thought about there being different types of pimples or acne. I just assumed everyone was having the same types of breakouts. All I know is that I really could use some type of effective acne treatment right about now.acne1-main_full

Acne Myths

Remember when your mom used to say greasy foods or chocolate caused pimples? Sometimes I hear people my age say the same thing. Pimples are caused by pores that get blocked by dirt and dead skin cells. When the oil builds up in the follicle, it starts to bulge and become a pimple (or blemish as my mother used to say).

The Myth of Teenage Acne

May 21st, 2009 admin No comments

acne1I watched a commercial today that implied acne was only something teenagers had to worry about. I care to differ. Sometimes when I hear women complaining about dry skin I think, “They don’t know how lucky they are!” To be less oily and acne prone would definitely be a blessing.
