Did you know that water can affect your acne outbreaks? Dead skin cells, as you know, are one of the things that can clog your pores and cause these outbreaks. But if you don’t keep yourself hydrated, you could end up not begin able to flush away those dead cells effectively so they end up being left behind to clog your pores and lead to pimples. That’s a good reason to grab that bottle of water!

Since stress can be a big trigger for outbreaks, you should consider finding some ways to relax. Deep breathing and meditating are great ways to relax. Exercising is also good because it releases endorphins into your body that give you a feel good rush. These useful techniques can help you control stress and limit your acne outbreaks.

Did you know stress is supposed to be connected to outbreaks? That makes sense to me since stress can impact your hormones and your hormones can make it more likely for you to develop acne. What a crazy process, huh? And it can go full circle, too! You can be stressed, have a breakout, worry about your breakout, and make it worse! It just doesn’t seem fair.
When I was younger and started having acne problems, I did blame myself a lot. I thought there had to be something wrong with the way I took care of my skin. But now I realize it’s not that unusual for both sexes to get tons of acne breakouts around adolescence.
Another important part of keeping your skin acne free, at least in my experience, is having a good product to use. Acne solutions can take good care of your skin and can eliminate blemishes whenever they do pop up. Having good products is always a good idea but sometimes it takes trial and error to find the right one.
Before you can really find the right acne solution, you need to understand what causes acne in the first place. As long as people keep assuming it’s caused by greasy food or chocolate, they won’t be able to find a good product or share skin care strategies that are really going to work.
One thing that can lead to acne is stress. Why? Because it makes your hormone levels go haywire and that increases the production of oil which ends up setting in motion everything that leads to, you guessed it: acne. That means you’ve got to try to work on your stress levels while also finding a medication that will help breakouts.
The other day I was browsing in the cosmetic aisle looking for a new lipstick color when I overheard a mom telling her teenage daughter that her pimples were caused by all the junk food she insists on eating. I really can’t believe people still believe this myth. The whole idea is just crazy!
Some women who suffer from acne don’t use acne medication but instead go on birth control pills because the hormones are supposed to help clear up the skin. While those hormones can work, those pills can have serious side effects, too, including the risk of potentially fatal blood clots.
Remember when your mom used to say greasy foods or chocolate caused pimples? Sometimes I hear people my age say the same thing. Pimples are caused by pores that get blocked by dirt and dead skin cells. When the oil builds up in the follicle, it starts to bulge and become a pimple (or blemish as my mother used to say).
