Water and Acne

bottled-water

Did you know that water can affect your acne outbreaks? Dead skin cells, as you know, are one of the things that can clog your pores and cause these outbreaks. But if you don’t keep yourself hydrated, you could end up not begin able to flush away those dead cells effectively so they end up being left behind to clog your pores and lead to pimples. That’s a good reason to grab that bottle of water!

Since stress can be a big trigger for outbreaks, you should consider finding some ways to relax. Deep breathing and meditating are great ways to relax. Exercising is also good because it releases endorphins into your body that give you a feel good rush. These useful techniques can help you control stress and limit your acne outbreaks.

Treating Acne

cb063488-main_fullThe good news, I think, is there are better methods for dealing with acne breakouts. You don’t have to take hormones or start taking prescription medications. Stopping Those Unwanted Zits

lemon-strawberryWhat I’ve learned is that you really have to be gentle with your skin if you want to prevent those awful breakouts from occurring. One of the things I like to do now is use a homemade facial treatment. I alternate between a lemon and oatmeal facial and a strawberry and yogurt treatment that I make at home in my blender. I try to do this twice a month to keep my skin looking healthy and to complement my other beauty products.

The Right Product

removing-make-upAnother important part of keeping your skin acne free, at least in my experience, is having a good product to use. Acne solutions can take good care of your skin and can eliminate blemishes whenever they do pop up. Having good products is always a good idea but sometimes it takes trial and error to find the right one.

Other Tips for Acne

9be74673122951338532642One of the most important things about preventing acne is you have to do whatever it takes to keep your pores from clogging. When that happens, so do pimples. I used to sleep in my make-up until I realized that it was getting into my pores and making me breakout more. Now I always clean off the makeup as part of my nightly skin care routine.
